It’s a go for Villar’s AMBS Channel 2.
According to PEP’s interview with Willie Revillame on July 2, AMBS Channel 2 will launch this September 2022.
“AMBS will be on air by September.”
Willie is occupies an important post in AMBS that’s why he’s so busy meeting with other AMBS executives to iron out their planned September launchi.
According to the PEP article, Willie has also met with Viva executives for possible collaborations.
On June 24, 2022, AMBS started its test broadcast as captured by Facebook page DTV Pilipinas.
“LOOK: VHF 2 in Mega Manila is now on-air. It is currently on test broadcast.”
Analog Channel 2 was previously held by ABS-CBN before its shutdown on May 5, 2020, due to the cease and desist order issued by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC).
Meanwhile, AMBS studios will be set in 3 Starmall Cinemas in Mandaluyong.
In a separate PEP article, it said that the clearing operations on the 3 Starmall Mandaluyong cinemas are already underway.
According to the article, clearing operations will take seven to 10 days. After that, the construction of the new AMBS studios will begin.
Manny Villar is said to have personally chosen Starmall Mandaluyong to set-up AMBS Studios for its strategic location.
One of the three renovated cinemas will be the studio of Willie Revillame’s Wowowin Tutok To Win. And the other one will occupy a new noontime show, which will launch once AMBS is already on air.
