The phenomenal box office star had a meme-worthy blooper during the June 27 episode of the noontime show It’s Showtime.
Vice Ganda made the entire It’s Showtime studio and the Kapamilya viewers laugh out loud again, accidentally, when she committed a hilarious mistake at the segment of Showtime SexyBabe.
During the question and answer portion with SexyBabe #2, AJ Batitay, Vice Ganda led the discussion to projection and balance when competing in beauty pageants. The comedian argued that beauty pageant aspirants like Batitay should know some basic tips in pageantry to help them win the title.
He stressed particularly on the footwear a contestant should wear.
“Alam mo, kahit gaano ka kagaling, dapat ‘yung sinusuot n’yo rin dapat sigurado. Kasi minsan maaari n’yong ikapahamak ‘yong sinusot nyo eh, di ba? Marami akong nakita dito, ang gandang umawra pero yung sapatos kasi pinapahamak ka”
(You know what, however good you are in projecting onstage, it is a must to ensure that what you wear is safe. I’ve seen contestants here myself; they’re really good in projecting themselves, but their footwear just don’t look safe),” he reminded Batitay and the viewers.
“Kaya dapat (maayos) yung sapatos, yung swimsuit, ‘yung accessories…kasi minsan nadidiskaril kayo ‘eh (that’s why it is important you have properly prepared your footwear, swimsuit, and all other accessories, because unpreparedness tends to distract you).”
Vice Ganda then proceeded to talk about sexiness and how confidence and projection make it easier for anybody to showcase their unique beauty.
“Sabi nila na ang sexy ngayon (ay) inclusive? Wala namang standard ang sexy…na ang sexy dapat matangkad, ang sexy dapat 6-footer. Sabi nila it’s all about confidence.
“People say that the modern concept of sexy is inclusive. There are no more standards; it’s not about being tall, or a 6-foorter. They say it’s all about confidence),” she assured Batitay, who seemed to believe her height hinders her from showcasing her own sexiness.
To demonstrate the confidence he was referring to–Vice Ganda did her usual “rampa” or “pasarela” pose with a bit of funny dance moves. Fierce and confident as he was, the comedian couldn’t help himself when an unfortunate misstep caused him to stumble and nearly dive his head first into the stairs.
The comedian’s accident initially had the host rushing towards him to help him get up. The whole studio soon exploded in laughter as Vice Ganda himself realized how hilarious the scene he caused.
The hosts demanded a replay of the funny incident for Vice Ganda to see it himself.
The said episode of It’s Showtime is the comedian-host’s last day on the show before he heads to the United States to hold a series concert for Filipino fans in various cities.
He will return to the show once his US tour ends.
