Kapamilya stars Vice Ganda, and Coco Martin are set to return to the 48th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
On July 8, the official Facebook page of the Metro Manila Film Festival announced the first four official entries for this year’s film festival.
“The biggest, most popular, and the widely supported and anticipated Metro Manila Film Festival, now on its 48th year is alive and upbeat as it promotes the message “BALIK SAYA” while foregrounding our kababayans enjoying the Filipino cinematic experience again during the Christmas Season,” they captioned.
Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, Vice and Ivana Alawi will star in the movie titled Partners in Crime.
Meanwhile, Martin and Jodi Sta. Maria will lead the film titled Labyu with an Accent. Rodel Nacianceno will direct it.
“May we continue to support Filipino films back where they should be enjoyed, in the theaters/movie houses.
“Looking forward to a successful MMFF 2022. Balik Saya!” the caption continued.
The other two MMFF entries are Nanahimik Ang Gabi by Rein Entertainment Productions and The Teacher (TEN17P).
Directed by Philip Louie King, Nanahimik Ang Gabi will be led by Ian Veneracion, Mon Confiado and Heaven Peralejo.
Meanwhile, The Teacher (TEN17P) will be directed by Paul Soriano and will be starred by Joey de Leon and Toni Gonzaga.
