The Brightlight Productions-produced variety program debuted on the Kapamilya streaming platform on Saturday, July 16.
Tropang LOL (formerly called Lunch Out Loud) made its widely-talked-about debut on A2Z Channel 11 and Kapamilya Channel on Saturday, July 16.
Airing back-to-back with its former rival noontime show, It’s Showtime, Tropang LOL also saw itself expanding online as it also debuted on Kapamilya Online Live on YouTube and Facebook. Kapamilya Online Live streams past and current ABS-CBN shows, including the entire primetime block of ABS-CBN.
On Kapamilya Online Live, Tropang LOL impressed with a peak concurrent viewers of 50,000 on the Kapamilya streaming platform. That figure is notably higher than most shows that aired on the pre-noontime slot of Kapamilya Channel and A2Z.
The program celebrated its first anniversary on air in October last year. It notably took turns with ABS-CBN’s It’s Showtime in being the second most watched noontime show in the country. Now serving as the Kapamilya noontime show’s pre-programming show, Tropang LOL is poised to attract a bigger audience with additional viewers from A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and iWantTFC. The program is also available overseas, via ABS-CBN’s The Filipino Channel (TFC).
On Twitter, excited netizens expressed their delight in the show’s debut on Kapamilya platforms. The show’s official hashtag, #TropangLOLSanibPwerSAYA peaked at no.3 on the Philippine chart.
Hit segments such as Maritest, a showbiz gossip quiz show, and H.O.P.E., brought chuckles and inspiration to viewers. Sarah Geronimo’s husband, Matteo Guidicelli, and Madam Inutz graced the show as its first guests on its first airing on A2Z and Kapamilya Channel.
Tropang LOL is hosted Billy Crawford, Bayani Agbayani, KC Montero, Jeff Tam, Alexa Miro, JD Axie, Francoise Denyse Fainsan, and Wacky Kiray. It airs on the 11 am to 12:45 pm time slot, from Mondays to Saturdays.
