Virgin Forest star Sid Lucero on Friday, May 27, stressed how Angeli Khang became one of the reasons why he accepted the Vivamax project.
The actor revealed that he immediately accepted the movie since Direk Brillante Mendoza would be the one directing it. Working again with Viva’s new Box Office Queen was also a factor.
In the virtual media conference of the film, Lucero admitted that he “adores” working with the sexy star. They first worked in Silip sa Apoy, and the actor seemed not to get enough of her.
“I love working with Angeli! I told her this before! I would work with her as many times as she would allow me to work with her. I love supporting her. She is so generous,” he said.
Apart from how giving Khang is as an actress, Lucero also found out how passionate she is in her craft.
“To tell you the truth, she is already a formidable actress when we first worked together. I did not feel anything starting new; her braveness was uncanny; I’ve never seen anything in packaging so fragile-looking yet with a heart [that] is so amazingly tough and brave! It was so inspiring. I fed off her so much.”
The actor added, “To get to work with her in something like this where I’m so away from that part of her performance, and I’m only experiencing just the emotional weight of whatever she’s going through, and to see her just living that, and experiencing that, minus the cold, the skin, and all that, it really allowed me to see just her and what she’s willing to offer as an actress.”
He also expressed concern to Khang after working with her in Silip sa Apoy.
Lucero stressed, “To see her here, kasi yung first movie namin medyo it was very physical, it was very demanding, and it put her in a very… I would never like to see her [or] anybody in that situation. To watch her really live that, it was tough [and] nice to watch [both at the same time]. It was very grateful.”
Virgin Forest also includes Micaella Raz, Rob Guinto, and internationally acclaimed actor Vince Rillon. The movie will make its world premiere on June 24.
