Rita Daniela revealed something about the father of her baby in a tell-all interview with Nelson Canlas on 24 Oras on Wednesday, June 29.
She said, “It’s my non-showbiz boyfriend.”
The 26-year-old actress said she wanted to make her relationship with her boyfriend a private matter.
She continued, “The relationship was also private. I am a private person. People close to me know that.
“Ako as Rita I believe not everything dapat malaman ng tao about us.”
She then shared the importance of privacy for an actress like her.
“Ever since kasi dati I’ve always been a private person. I’ve been in showbiz for 6 years, sobrang out in the open ‘yung buhay ko.
“Masayang maramdaman ‘yung meron kang alam mong sa’yo lang. Iba ‘yung feeling, na-ga-ground ka, balance ‘yung buhay mo kasi hindi lahat alam sa’yo,” she shared.
The Kapuso star revealed that it was her bestfriend who first knew about her pregnancy.
“Sa bestfriend ko, si Cholo [Bismonte] sumali siya sa The Clash. Siya ‘yung una kong sinabihan kasi nung time na ‘yun hindi pa talaga nagsi-sink in sa akin. Then I called my sister, of course inuna ko ‘yung family.”
She surprised fans after confirming that she is pregnant in an episode of All-Out Sundays‘ on June 26.
Ken Chan, the Kapuso artist’s loveteam partner, also penned a heartfelt message for her to show his support for the pregnancy.
