On July 6, Italian-Canadian actor Nico Locco confirmed he is ready to embrace his brand as a sexy star with Viva.
During the media conference for Viva’s welcome for Nico, he said he is ready to claim the title of a sexy actor.
“Yes I’m ready to claim it, ready na ako. I mean dati, I want to be wholesome–I didn’t want to show my body. That wasn’t really my branding, pero ngayon branding ko na talaga. Especially after Love at the End of the World, wala akong damit for 70% of the film, right?”
He also shared what he told Viva about not having any restrictions with sexy roles.
“So I kind of jump right into that bold star category, and I’m ready to embrace it now that I’m in Viva. Sinabi ko sa management ng Viva na wala akong restrictions when it comes to roles, ready ako for anything to take on any sort/ of challenge– I just told them that I want to work hard and give everything I have as an actor.”
He then detailed his talk with Viva Entertainment head Vic del Rosario, citing his willingness to do any role.
“Actually sinabi ko kay Boss Vic, I’m willing to do everything, like if you have a role for me, and you/ feel like you feel like it’s a good fit para sa akin, go na. I mean wala akong restriction when it comes to acting, for the most part.”
He also talked about his career path with Viva as a host and sexy actor while listing the type of scenes he is prepared to do.
“The great thing about Viva is that they’re really aware of my branding as Nico Locco. I’m a corporate host as well and a professional host. So it’s kind of keeping that balance.
“Pero in terms of body exposure, mga pumping scenes, mga sex scenes, pretty open ako diyan. Wala akong sex scenes sa Love At the End of the World, puro just hubad lang, and full frontal scenes, marami ‘yan. Pero, wala pa akong sex scenes, mayroon akong sex scene sa Sabado ‘yun noong nanalo ako ng acting awards. But that’s pretty much as bad as it gets, well not really bad, but risque is the right term.”
He also affirmed that his sexy star brand aligns with Viva’s content.
“Aware ako sa content nila, and siyempre before I signed the contract, gets ko ‘yung mga content nila. I think it’s very in line with how I’m trying to brand myself now and wala naman– restrictions in terms of nudity pero within reason naman but open ako sa mga sex scenes and sa mga daring roles.”
