Singer and Sing Galing Jukeboss Morisette Amon on Saturday, July 9, revealed that she was on the verge of giving up on her dream as a singer due to the losses she faced during the start of her career.
In 2010, Morisette recalled that she joined TV5’s Star Factor, but fell short of winning as she ended up as a runner-up.
She also tried ABS-CBN’s The Voice Philippines in 2013 and got eliminated in the semi-finals.
Hanggang first runner-up lang. Dumaan din po ako sa phase na pagkatapos kong matalo, ‘yung sinasabi ko na, ‘ayaw ko nang kumanta,” she said during the press conference of Sing Galing Kids’ Arkidia in Vista Mall Taguig.
Luckily for her, she has parents who were very understanding, allowing her to grieve over the loss. But the singer’s passion was not that weak.

Pero kung gusto talaga natin, we just need to keep moving forward.
Morisette also shared the support she received from her family, her friends, and her fans who motivated her to move forward and continue despite her countless failures.
Sing Galing Kids is hosted by Randy Santiago, K Brosas, and Donita Nose. Together with Morisette, the judges are Rey Valera, Ethel Booba, Gloc 9, and Jona Viray.
