On July 1, Kapamilya artist Kyle Echarri revealed how Enchong Dee pushed him to work out.
During the media conference for Beach Bros, Echarri recalled his agreement with Dee to get in shape while taping the Kapamilya series, Huwag Kang Mangamba.
“Shoutout po sa aking coach na si Enchong Dee. Si Enchong Dee talaga ‘yung– we’re both pushing each other, pero more than anything, he’s been pushing me talaga to get a better physique. I’ve always wanted to work on my physique and my health. Not just how I look but how I feel for myself. And, he’s always been–he’s my number one coach since Huwag Kang Mangamba.”
He then detailed about losing twenty-five pounds throughout his workout period with Dee.
“Actually sa start po ng Huwag Kang Mangamba, I was a hundred and ninety pounds. And then from there, I became, with the help of Enchong Dee, I became one sixty five. Twenty five pounds ‘yung bawas ko since Huwag Kang Mangamba.”
He also admitted that he’s still not in his ideal body and hopes to build more muscles with his return to the Philippines.
“I’m not at the physique I want to get to yet, kakasabi ko lang din po, nag-America ako, nagpataba ako ng konti, para magka-muscle ulit.
“Yeah, that’s how I prepared for it. Shout out, kay Enchong Dee. I’m really just trying to work with my consistency more than anything.”
Echarri and Dee worked on the Kapamilya inspirational series Huwag Kang Mangamba in 2021.
