Lunch Out Loud (LOL) host KC Montero shares his reaction to the recent convergence of rival networks ABS-CBN and TV5.
On July 6, ABS-CBN’s noontime show ‘It’s Showtime’ as well as TV5’s ‘Lunch Out Loud’ will air back-to-back episodes on the TV5 platform in July.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Montero explained that the recent convergence of networks is an example of adaptation.
“It’s a sign of the times. We just have to adapt with the political environment that’s been thrust upon us.
“Why not put together more people for more ideas and better creations, sama-sama!” he said.
The noontime show “It’s Showtime” is already in its 12th year and is hosted by Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Ogie Alcasid, Karylle, Jhong Hilario, Kim Chiu, Amy Perez, Jugs Jugueta, Teddy Corpuz, Ryan Bang, Jackie Gonzaga, and Ion Perez.
LOL premiered in 2020 hosted by Billy Crawford, Emma Suwanalat, Alex Gonzaga, Bayani Agbayani, Wacky Kiray, Jeffrey Tam, Francoise Denyse Fainsan, JD Axie, and Isabelle Daza.
Prior to the announcement, several Kapamilya shows have already been airing on TV5 in addition to ABS-CBN platforms, including “ASAP Natin ‘To”, “FPJ: Da King”, “Idol Philippines”, and the entire “Primetime Bida” teleserye block.
