On July 13, Josef Elizalde maintained that he did not sacrifice anything for his showbiz career.
During the media conference for Purificacion, Elizalde said it was his choice not to finish his college studies, especially with his flourishing career in showbiz.
“Wala naman, when I entered in showbiz naman, I was High School and coming into the fourth year, I was able to finish High School naman, pero I wasn’t able to finish college, I think it was a choice na lang of my own na not to finish it and pursue lang with showbiz.”
He also asserted that he didn’t regret focusing on his career as an artist.
“Kasi ‘yung time na rin na ‘yun ang dami ko na ring projects na, ‘yung time nag-graduate ako ng High School.
“I don’t regret not going to college naman because I am happy where I am now, and I’m very grateful for everything na God has given me with his blessings.”
He then reacted to receiving a titular role in the upcoming movie Purificacion.
“Siguro, I treat it like one of my other projects rin naman na I’m just really blessed and grateful na binibigyan ako ng mga projects na ganito. And tiwala from Viva, sila Direk, I’m just really honored and blessed and grateful for all the blessings–that I’ve been getting /for these past few years, especially with Viva.”
In return, Elizalde vowed to give his best with every project from Viva.
So ayun lang, in return, ginagawa ko lang ‘yung best ko para makita nila lang din na I’m really grateful for what they’ve given to me. Parang it’s a give and take ano for me.
