ABS-CBN writer and Kapamilya ng Manggagawang Pilipino party-list nominee Jerry Gracio called out Martin Nievera and Jed Madela for being part of Salamat, PRRD thanksgiving event on Sunday, June 26.
In a series of Facebook posts on Tuesday, June 28, Gracio questioned why the two Kapamilya singers offered a song for Duterte, who was responsible for the shutdown of ABS-CBN.
Pakitanong please,” he wrote.
He also talked about loyalty in a separate Facebook post.
Andaming taga-Kamuning who supported their colleagues from Ignacia, while people from Ignacia sing praise to the man who burned their house.”
During his oath-taking ceremony for the newly appointed local government officials on Monday, June 27, Duterte admitted he used his presidential powers against giant network ABS-CBN.
Duterte said: “I used the presidential powers to tell Congress that you are dealing with scoundrels and if you continue to kowtow with them, kawawa ang Pilipino.”
To recall, the ABS-CBN got forced to shut down in July 2020 after 70 lawmakers voted to deny the Network’s franchise application.
