Actor JC Santos said on July 5, he’s confident that his non-showbiz wife Shyleena Herrera would not get offended by scenes in Tahan.
At the media conference for his upcoming Vivamax film, Santos stated that his wife would enjoy his movie.
Santos then recalled accepting his project because of Quinn Carillo’s script.
“When I saw the script, gusto kong– I mean hindi ito sobrang– siguro nagawa ko na ‘yung ganitong mga roles siguro mga four, mga seven years even from the theater.
He also revealed that he wanted to be a part of the creative process of Tahan.
He also highlighted working with the seasoned actress Jaclyn Jose, praising her discipline.
“What I love about miss Jaclyn is she’s very consistent. She’s very consistent. Lahat ng projects niya I think walang tapon. And I saw that noong kasama ko siya sa set dahil nakita ko siya how hard she works and I know na kaya niyang gawin, and maayos ang disiplina ni Miss Jaclyn.”
He then noted that he wants to be as consistent as Jose with her craft as an actress.
“‘Yun ang gusto kong ma-achieve, ‘yun ‘yung as much as possible, gusto kong maging ganito ka-consistent. Kasi ang inspiring noon na makita mo sa harapan mo, parang ang galing-galing niya pero she’s still trying to –trying her best to make a scene work.”
Santos stars in the Vivamax psycho-thriller Tahan alongside Cloe Barreto and Jaclyn Jose.
Directed by Bobby Bonifacio and screenplay by Quinn Carillo, Tahan premieres on July 22 via Vivamax.
