On July 5, multi-awarded actress Jaclyn Jose shared her advice for newbie sexy stars to do their daring scenes in one take.
At the media conference for her upcoming Vivamax film, Jose cited the benefit of doing a sexy scene in one take.
“Pag sexy films anak, pag sexy scenes gawin mo na para wala ng take two. Kasi pag-take two take three, lalo lang dadagdag ‘yung exposure, so as much possible do it one take para isahan na lang good take pa.
“Kesa, paulit ulit ang gagawin mo, gagawin mo rin naman, do it one take na lang. Ganon din ‘yung ginagawa ko noong araw eh. Para sa akin, papaulit lang ‘to eh, gawin ko na lang. Total pag isahan, edi one time na lang. ‘Yan lang lagi kong ina-advice sa mga sexy scenes.”
She also compared the sexy stars of before and today, recalling her experience getting terrified by a seasoned actress during her early days in showbiz.
“Noong panahon namin, pag big star ‘yung sexy stars nang-aano, nanakot ng baguhan so as much as possible sisindakin ka talaga. Talagang you know they will look from head to toe, kasi it happened to me na.
“Buti na lang, I’m very focused actor na — and one good thing happened to me, puro mga projects ko puro mga Brocka, Bernal, Ronio, you know, so I was in good hands. Hindi ko pinapansin, pero I can tell naninindak sila, and hindi ko gagawin ‘yun sa mga bago.”
She then recounted her experience working with one of Viva’s new sexy artists, Cloe Barreto.
“I think she did well, Cloe did well. Sobrang revelation ‘yung ending for Cloe to be a star of her own. In the next film, and with me in this film, nandiyan naman si Direk to guide her doon sa mga eksena niya. So she’s nice, kapag mabait ang tao at nagde-deliver, hayaan mo lang.”
She also narrated how she helped Cloe with her sexy scenes.
“Nakikita ko ang sarili ko sa mga baguhang nagsisimula sa industriya, lalo na kapag sexy scene. Maipapayo ko, nasabi ko na sa kanya, huwag nerbiyosin, gawin ng first take ang mga sexy scene para tapos na. ‘Yun ang sinasabi ko noon pa, kahit kila Coco noong araw.
“At kung gustong tumagal, be professional. ‘Yun pala ang sinabi ko, let’s be professional, be nice, and let’s work. That will do.”
Jose stars in the Vivamax psycho-thriller Tahan alongside Cloe Barreto and JC Santos. Directed by Bobby Bonifacio and screenplay by Quinn Carillo, Tahan premieres on July 22 via Vivamax.
