Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza directly claimed that she is better than Julie Anne San Jose, Gabbi Garcia, and Kyline Alcantara; but in terms of what?
In a recent vlog of Bea Alonzo released on July 9, Forteza took the Lie Detector Challenge, where she answered intriguing questions from the actress-vlogger.
In the vlog, Forteza revealed that she had a crush on Andre Paras and confirmed that she had a relationship with Kiko Estrada. She also admitted that she once got jealous of Jak Roberto’s co-star.
When they proceeded to the ‘Friendship’ category, she got asked about her fellow All Out Sunday stars San Jose, Garcia, and Alcantara.
“Would you say na mas magaling kang kumanta sa taong ito?” Alonzo asked.
Alonzo then mentioned the names of the three Kapuso female stars, which Forteza answered confidently with ‘Yes, of course’ and ‘Naman.’
The lie detector then confirmed that Forteza was telling the truth.
Forteza then explained why she claimed to be better than her co-stars in terms of singing.
“Kasi, kapag kumakanta ako, puwedeng i-upload ng GMA sa YouTube kasi wala naman sa tono so walang copyright.
“So magbe-benefit sila, okay lang!”
Forteza has her album, which got released in 2013. Despite having a music album, Forteza admitted that she is no a singer.
Her Meron Ba performance in Party Pilipinas went viral in 2013 because she went off-key during her live performance. The video resurfaced in 2017.
In 2020, in a PEP Live guesting, Forteza said that she was not offended by the viral video and accepted her flaws.
“Flaw ko siya na tanggap ko so hindi ako na-offend. Tanggap ko sintunado ako.”
It was supposed to be a lip sync performance, but when she started to perform–she realized it was live.
“’Tapos noong live na, ‘Ah, boses ko to, ah? Okay, carry on, dedma.’ Pero tanggap ko siya kaya hindi siya naging big deal para sa akin.
“Kasi, hindi ko naman puwedeng sabihin na, ‘Ah sorry, direk, puwede isa pa?’ Kasi live, mami, di ba?”
Forteza, with San Jose and Dennis Trillo, will star in the new Kapuso series titled Maria Clara at Ibarra. This series is a historical portal fantasy featuring a new perspective on Jose Rizal’s novels.
