After almost seven years on air, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano will end its run.
On July 22, Kapamilya star Coco Martin announced that the show is on its last three weeks.
“Mga Ka-Probinsyano, dumating na po ang oras. Ang programang minahal ninyo ng pitong taon ay nalalapit na po ang pagtatapos.
“Malungkot man na tayo ay maghihiwalay pero walang hanggang pagpapasalamat ang aming nararamdaman. Nagbago man ang mundo, nandiyan pa rin kayo.
Martin thanked the televiewers who supported the show since 2015.
“Kahit man po matapos ang teleseryeng ito, hinding-hindi matatapos ang pagmamahal namin sa inyo.
“Kaya kapit lang sa huling tatlong linggo, ito po ang FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano: Ang Pambansang Pagtatapos.”
On September 28, 2015, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano started to air on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida.
FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, an adaptation of Fernando Poe Jr.’s 1997 hit movie of the same title produced by VIVA Films.
For five years until ABS-CBN Network’s forced broadcast shutdown, the show was the consistent top TV program in the country.
Mars Ravelo’s Darna will take over FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’s vacated timeslot. The former will air its pilot episode on August 15.
