Maid in Malacañang star Ella Cruz on Thursday, July 7, asked for her bashers to have a “little humanity” and exclude her family from the criticism she is currently receiving.
Cruz got into a controversy when she likened history to gossip.
Her critics targetted the actress’s family, specifically her father, who tried to get a local government seat but failed.
She then posted, “Bash me all you want PERO WAG NIYONG IDADAMAY PAMILYA KO. Have a little humanity, please.”
Meanwhile, historian Xiao Chua reacted to Cruz’s statement.
Ganyan talaga ngayon. Sawa an ako sa call for sobriety, ‘pag inaway ka, awayin mo,” wrote Chua on his Twitter.

A netizen believed that there is an education crisis in the country, proven that “Mas lamang pa ang salita ng tambay na madaling maintindihan.”
Ang problem po kasi, based on my experience ay yung mga places dominated by poverty.

Meanwhile, Pasig City First District Councilor and former TV personality Kiko Rustia blamed the influencers, who twisted history into the narrative they want.
Those revisionist vloggers should be held accountable.”

Cruz, on the other hand, would not have gone viral if the public did not give it any attention, said a netizen.
Zero engagement zero relevance
