AC Bonifacio admitted on Friday, July 15 that she was no stranger when it comes to love but has yet to experience being in a relationship.
“I feel like may mga umamin na in the past that they’ve liked me. I don’t think I’ve ever had like a full ex (boyfriend),” said the 20-year-old performer during the press conference of Lyric and Beat, an upcoming iWantTFC musical series.
Bonifacio added, “May mga fling, puppy love, but no one na sobrang seryoso pa po. But we’ll see.”
Meanwhile, present at the press con was her best friend and on-screen partner Darren Espanto. The two have an intimate bond which led the press to wonder: did their past partners or admirers get jealous of their closeness?
She responded, “Actually, wala po.”
Espanto explained that in their previous relationships, even former suitors understood how close they were.
“Kasi gets nila ‘yung relationship namin na ganito talaga ang pagiging mag-bestfriend namin,” he stated. “We have to go through each other’s partners, that’s annoying, honestly.”
The singer even shared that he became friends with Bonifacio’s past admirers. However, as her best friend first and foremost, he said he will always “side” with her.
“Kahit ako, nagiging tropa ko na rin ang mga nanliligaw dito.
“Tapos siyempre, kapag siyempre, wala na sila, or wala nang nangyayari, I can’t… it’s like we don’t have a choice, but to kind of drift apart. Parang stop talking to that person kasi siyempre best friend ko po ito, parang ganoon. We’re friends but I will side with AC.”
