On July 15, Viva artist Cloe Barreto compared her role in Tahan to the horror icon Chucky.
At the media conference for Tahan, Barreto said she felt shocked to see herself and associated her portrayal of her role with the killer-doll.
Tahan director Bobby Bonifacio gave insight on how they created the gory kill scenes in Vivamax psycho-thriller.
“Siyempre, may mga iba na ano–kakaunti, syempre we’re working on a budget, ‘yung mga iba may mga prostethics, pero mostly totoong laman loob po ng baboy. And then dagdag blood effects din po.
Cloe reiterated that she enjoyed portraying the role similar to the horror-icon Chucky.
When asked about her reaction to people typecasting her in gory roles, Barreto highlighted that she is prepared and ready to take on any characters.
Cloe Barreto stars in the Vivamax psycho-thriller Tahan alongside Jaclyn Jose and JC Santos.
The cast also includes AJ Oyteza, Karl Medina, and Marc Cardona.
