The former Pinoy Big Brother housemate shared she has been overwhelmed by the dramatic turnaround of her career, noting that the success she has been making is a decade-long journey.
10 years in the making–that’s how ex-PBB Kumunity Season 10 celebrity housemate, Chie Filipino, described her recent streak of projects, on the heels of her PBB stint. The beautiful and hot Kapamilya actress shared her story during the July 18 episode of the morning talk show, Magandang Buhay.
Judy Ann Santos, one of the show’s hosts, expressed her eagerness to find out what Filomeno has been feeling ever since she exited the PBB house and began doing multiple projects.
“Patuloy na lumelevel-up ang career mo simula nang lumabas ka sa bahay ni Kuya. How does it feel? Gustong gusto talaga na itinatanong mga ganyan.
(Your career has been consistently leveling-up ever since you got out of the PBB house. How does it feel? I really enjoy asking these questions),” asked the actress-host.
“Overwhelming ‘yung feeling kasi 10 years po sya in the making eh. As in teenager pa lang ako, sila Kim Chiu ‘yung pinapanood ko and sabi ko gusto ko talaga mag-PBB, and then ito after 10 years, nag-ask na ‘ready ka ba mag-PBB? Mag-auaudition lang…and here I am. Ex-PBB housemate na po.
(The feeling really overwhelms me because it is 10 years in the making. Ever since I was a teenager, I’ve been watching the likes of Kim Chiu, and I dreamed of also becoming like her. 10 years later, I was asked if I wanted to audition, and here I am. I am now an ex-PBB housemate),” Filomeno answered.
Asked how important her new projects are to her and her family, she struggled to hold back the tears as she paid tribute to her parents.
“Importanteng importante siya sa akin, hindi lang dahil nagagawa ko ‘yung gusto ko, ‘yung craft ko. Ano po eh, ‘yung fulfillment na naibibigay ko sa family.
(They are very important to me, not just because they allow me do what I love doing, my craft. It’s the fulfillment that I am able to give to my family because of these projects),” she reminisced how her parents struggled to raise their family.
Filomeno is one of the most memorable celebrity housemates of the recent Pinoy Big Brother season, which declared Idol Philippines alumna Anji Salvacion the grand winner.
Filomeno’s PBB stint notably opened doors for her to land subsequent projects, including her role as a judge on It’s Showtime’s SexyBabe, and star in the currently streaming iWantTFC series, Beach Bros.
