On June 14, Kapamilya artists Brent Manalo, Lance Carr, Raven Rigor, and Sean Tristan revealed what it was like working with Chie Filomeno and Kyle Echarri at the press conference for his upcoming series Beach Bros.
Brent described Kyle as caring and Chie as generous.
“Si Kyle po kasi ‘yung room mate ko sa lock in. Sobrang maalagang bata ni Kyle.
“Siya pa ‘yung mas maalaga, parang siya pa ‘yung– lalo na sa staff din.
“Tapos si Chie naman, sobrang generous, nagpa-lechon pa after nung taping.”
As for Lance, he recalled working with Kyle before, echoing Brent’s description of the Kapamilya artist.
“Si Kyle, second or third time ko na siyang nakatrabaho eh.
“I think, si Kyle po ata ‘yung pinakamaraming time ko na naka-work sa showbiz. From, kasi nag SB po sila noong Pinoy Big Brother, Gold Squad sila, pumasok sila. And then, Bawal Lumabas, then ASAP, and now Beach Bros. Totoo naman ‘yung sinabi ni Brent na maalaga si Kyle.”
He then shared his first impression of Chie, noting that she was an approachable co-star.
“Si Chie naman, akala ko talaga suplada dati, parang ang hirap i-approach.
“Very, approachable, minsan pa nga siya ang gumagawa ng topic–kung ano pag-uusapan ganon.”
As for Raven, he admitted that he felt intimidated by Chie at first.
“Si Chie po parang natatakot po ako, parang intimidated po ako kasi– ‘yun po parang after ng ilang days, para po talaga siyang ate lang. ‘Yung parang hindi mo mafe-feel na dapat kang mailang sa kaniya. She’s really nice po.”
He then recounted his experience working with Kyle in the Kapamilya series, Huwag Kang Mangamba.
“Tapos si Kyle po, nakasama ko rin po sa HKM, so as always, near it po siya, pero alam niya kailan dapat magtigil ng biruan at magseryoso sa set. ‘Yun po, kumbaga inaalalayan niya po kami.”
Sean echoed Rigor’s initial impression of their co-stars, citing how approachable the two Kapamilya stars were to the cast.
“Sa akin po, kay Kyle and Chie, parehas po silang sobrang approachable and easy to get along. Parang, siyempre they’re Kyle Echarri and Chie Filomeno so parang.
“Tapos ‘yun parang they both have a name na talaga, so parang nakaka-intimidate din pero. Never ko pong na-feel sa kanila ‘yun na parang ‘yung aura nila na ‘oh, I’m ganito.’ Like sobrang down to earth pa rin nila, like sobrang dali lang nila maka-usap like sila pa po ‘yung nag-a-approach.”
As for their series, Beach Bros stars Kyle Echarri, Chie Filomeno, Lance Carr, Brent Manalo, Raven Rigor, Sean Tristan, Kira Balinger, and Angelica Lao. The Kapamilya series premieres in July on iWantTFC.
