The weekday afternoon drama–is besting out other daytime dramas in terms of online viewership, as Kapuso viewers get glued to the show’s intensifying final few weeks on air.
Viewers are seemingly enthralled by the top-rating Kapuso afternoon drama, Apoy sa Langit, as the show has been pulling off dominance on both free TV and online. According to AGB Nielsen’s National Urban TV Measurement (NUTAM), the infidelity-themed drama is the current daytime leader.
According to the data provided by the rating firm for Monday, July 26, Apoy sa Langit is well-ahead other daytime programs, with its 8.2% people rating. The program is notably ahead of It’s Showtime, with which it goes head-to-head in its time slot. The Kapamilya noontime show scored a 3.4% people rating on the same day, according to AGB Nielsen.
More commendable, however, is Apoy sa Langit’s steadily climbing concurrent viewership. On Facebook, where the series streams daily via Kapuso Stream, concurrent viewers are reaching as high as 40,000, a figure that is very rare for a Kapuso show, especially on a daytime slot. On YouTube, the show gets an additional around 10,000 concurrent viewers. It’s Showtime, nevertheless, remains the most watched daytime show on both YouTube and Facebook, where it regularly attracts more than 100,000 concurrent viewers (around 70,000 during Apoy sa Langit‘s time slot).

It is interesting to note, however, that Apoy sa Langit is the first GMA series to hit such a high concurrent viewership. Primetime programs, Lolong, Bolera, and Love You Stranger, notably draw an average of 10,000 concurrent viewers on YouTube and Facebook.
Apoy sa Langit is poised to draw bigger online viewers as the series races towards its highly-anticipated conclusion.
