The Kapamilya power belter gave birth to her first child, Sylvio, in April this year.
Kapamilya singer Angeline Quinto, happily shared tidbits about her journey as a first-time mom, during the July 18 episode of the morning talk show Magandang Buhay.
The singer first announced the pregnancy of her first child with her non-showbiz partner Nonrev Daquina in December 2021. She gave birth to baby Sylvio on April 27 this year.
Speaking to the viewers and the show’s hosts, Judy Ann Santos, Jolina Magdangal, and Melai Cantiveros, Quinto recalled the first few moments after she gave birth o her son.
“Noong nanganak ako, kasi nga Caesarian ako, so medyo groggy ako noong unang-una ko narinig ang boses niya…pero sobra ‘yung pakiramdam. Excited ako talaga, so pagdilat ng mata ko, narinig ko iyak niya, naiyak din ako.
(When I gave birth because I went Caesarian…I was groggy the first time I heard Sylvio’s voice; the feeling was overwhelming. I was very excited when I opened my eyes, he cried. I cried too),” she shared how the doctor barred her from carrying her baby straight away, as she was still weak then.
Quinto also mentioned what her partner, Nonrev’s reactions when he first saw and carried their son in his arms.
“Si Nonrev medyo malayo sa akin noong una niyang nakita si Sylvio, pero mas matagal nyang unang nakita iyong anak namin. Noong nakita ko siya alam mong speechless.
(Nonrev was not with me when he saw our son the first time, but he saw Sylvio first, far longer than I did. When I saw him, he was really speechless),” she recalled.
The singer-actress had a fun time recollecting her first memories with her son, including her mistake in putting on Sylvio’s diaper, how she handled her son’s bath time with the utmost care, and her struggles to produce breast milk.
