Star Magic Ball is considered one of the biggest gathers of stars and one of the most glamorous events in local showbiz. It started in 2007 when Star Magic celebrities served major looks during the gathering.
On the other hand, GMA Network is as busy with their Thanksgiving Gala slated on July 30 at the Shangri-La the Fort.
In a report by Aubrey Carampel on 24 Oras on Thursday, July 14, she said that preparations for the upcoming GMA Thanksgiving Gala are already in full swing. GMA Executives, the organizer, and renowned events stylist Gideon Hermosa are said to have conducted their final ocular inspection of the venue.
Sparkle officials Gigi Santiago-Lara (Senior Assistant Vice President for Alternative Productions), Joy Marcelo (AVP for Talent Management Group), and Lawrence Tan (Consulting Head for Talent Imaging and Marketing) have also done the food tasting for the full course menu of the event.
The GMA Thanksgiving Gala will be GMA Network’s celebration of its 70th anniversary. It will also serve as a fundraising event to help build schools in Southern Leyte.
“Nagpapasalamat tayo sa Diyos kasi ang daming blessing ang natanggap natin.
“Importante rin sa atin ito kasi we’re trying to raise funds for the Kapuso Foundation kasi ido-donate natin ito para sa pagpapagawa nila ng paaralan sa Southern Leyte,” said Santiago-Lara.
