Established actress Via Veloso last Monday, May 23, was thankful to make a return to GMA Network as part of the upcoming Bolera series.
“Ang tagal ko din kasing hindi nag-guesting sa GMA,” revealed the actress during the show’s virtual media conference.
Veloso is part of the show’s supporting cast, including Jaclyn Jose, Joey Marquez, and Gardo Versoza. Bolera is led by Kylie Padilla, Rayver Cruz, and Jak Roberto.
“Sobrang thankful ako kasi nakasama ko po ulit sina Tita Jane, sina Gardo,” she expressed.
The actress admitted that she felt rusty returning to the acting scene. Veloso shared that she stepped away from the limelight to take care of her late mother, who had breast cancer ten years ago.
After naman no’n, nagwo-work pa rin naman ako paisa-isa kahit papaano.”
Although it was on a different network, Veloso, a single mom, did not veer away from the entertainment industry as she still does guest appearances.
Bolera is about a prodigy named Joni (Padilla) who wants to prove that a woman can also dominate a sport like billiard. The series will also have special participations from billiard legends like Efren “Bata” Reyes, Francisco “Django” Bustamante, Rubilen “Bingkay” Amit, and Johann “Bad Koi” Chua.
The show is directed by Dominic Zapata and is set to air beginning May 30, weekdays at 8:50 p.m.
