On June 9, Viva artists and former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Marco Gallo admitted that his Mom didn’t know about his sexy role in Kitty K7 at the media conference for his upcoming movie.
“You know what’s funny–my Mom doesn’t even know about this. I’m so scared right now–I’m not even lying, I’m getting so scared just like talking Chinese position, ‘Yeah, Mom, it’s a game, it’s game.'”
He also added he didn’t want his parents to complain to him about his scenes.
“I don’t want her to complain to me. I honestly– I’m all grown–she should accept it, and if she doesn’t, what is new to that?”
As for his acting career, Gallo considered acting more of a hobby than a job.
“I’m grateful for my job, kasi–I never wanted an office job. I feel like I always wanted a job that involved my body and my creativity. So that’s why everytime I’m on set, I don’t feel like na super stressful just because you know it keeps my mind away, it keeps me from like– it like a hobby to me, because I like my job, so it doesn’t feel like work in a way.”
He then recalled how he connected with the producer of Kitty K7 thanks to the Kapamilya series, On the Wings of Love.
“When they told me Dan Villegas, and I got the chance to talk to him, he told me, if I’m not wrong, that he was working on On the Wings of Love–he was part of the staff. And I was kind of like happy about that news because it’s one of my first memory connected to the Philippines.
“When I was in Italy, my Titos and Titas had TFC, and they were watching On the Wings of Love. So it reminded me something of my childhood and knowing that I was working with somebody that was part of my life in way, so it made me feel happy about that.”
He also talked about his character Krishna in the upcoming movie.
“I think the being in itself of being a photographer. I think–I like that the most, because I’ve always wondered how was it would be the lifestyle or kind of the lines of a photographer. And I got the chance to do it finally.”
Gallo also considered his sexy role in Kitty K7 as a career milestone and recalled his body-shaming encounter when he was younger.
“I think this is a milestone for me, doing a sexual movie. I think it’s a milestone for me because I was an insecure kid. I was a fat kid and always have been /bullied for it, for also being Filipino. And being able to say that I have decent body on a Filipino movie, it’s just a double–double win to my old self.”
As for doing more sexy projects, Gallo told the press that he’s open to it depending on the script.
“If the story is good, and maybe if I have a better body and I don’t know. I hope so.”
Gallo stars in Kitty K7 with fellow Viva artists Rose Van Ginkel and Jean Kiley. The Vivamax sexy film, directed by Joy Aquino and produced by Antoinette Jadaone and Dan Villegas, premieres on the Vivamax streaming platform on July 8, 2022.
