Songwriter Jason Hernandez on Thursday, June 2, earned sympathy from some netizens after he admitted his infidelity against his wife, singer Moira dela Torre.
The two announced their separation on June 1, with Hernandez confessing that he cheated on his then-wife. He has been judged ever since the news broke out.
The real story, however, has yet to be revealed.
For now, there were several “stories” of how the songwriter cheated on dela Torre.
Hernandez has been accused of being intimate with another man. But it turned out to be Mac Merla, the handler of the couple.
Merla even spoke about the issue clarifying that the songwriter was not gay.
“Just for the sake of clarity, for those who do not know us, I am Mac Merla of Cornerstone Entertainment Inc. I am the handler of Jason and Moira,” he said on his Instagram post.
A certain Jason Ong also lauded the songwriter for owning up to his mistake. The social media personality then asked netizens from spreading hate against the songwriter.
“I’m so proud of Jason, sana lahat ng lalaki katulad niya. Imagine, inamin niya mismo na nagkamali siya. And now, he promised to be a better person. Bihira lang ang lalaking katulad ni Jason, na marunong tumanggap ng pagkakamali.
“Dahil merong iba dyan na kahit huling huli na, todo deny pa. So, stop bashing Jason, walang perpektong lalaki sa mundo. Lahat tayo nagkakamali. And everyone deserve a second chance. Goodluck Jason!”
A netizen also was impressed with Hernandez for being an “honest man.”
