Chie Filomeno had a classy way of hitting back at a netizen who called her “gay” to insult her.
In Filomeno’s series of Instagram stories on June 21, she shared behind-the-scenes pictures of her photoshoot for a film. The young actress shared a video of herself fully glammed up in one of her stories.
One netizen then criticized Filomeno’s look and even called her gay.
“Ang pangit mo na girl, mukha ka ng bakla” the netizen said along with a sad face emoticon
Filomeno kept her cool as she simply replied saying, “Thank you.”
As an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community, she explained people should not call someone “gay” as an insult.
“Don’t ever use ‘bakla’ as an insult. ‘Wag kayong tumulad dito. Nakakasuka ka,” said Filomeno.
Chie Filomeno is set to star in ABS-CBN’s newest offering, “Beach Bros.” She will star alongside Kyle Echarri, Kira Balinger, Angelica Lao, Sean Tristan, Raven Rigor, Lance Carr, and Brent Manalo.
The series is written by Andrian Legaspi and Allan Cuadra and directed by Victor Villanueva.
