Media personalities Toni Gonzaga and Cat Arambulo convene with fellow UniTeam supporters after receiving backlash during the Elections 2022 campaign period.
Gonzaga and Arambulo united with fellow BBM supporters Em Aglipay Villar, Cockie Rockie, and Jerika Ejercito to celebrate the birthday of the latter.
Arambulo posted an Instagram reel of their gathering and captioned it, “CancelSurvivors 😂✌🏻❤️”
They call their group the “Cancel Survivors” after overcoming the heavy criticisms they received from the previous election as supporters of the Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Sara Duterte-Carpio tandem.
Gonzaga is one of the showbiz personalities who received heavy backlash for being an avid supporter of BBM’s Presidential bid.
As she expressed her support for UniTeam, she was tagged as ‘bayaran’ by critics. But during the UniTeam’s campaign rally in Gen. Trias, Cavite on March 22, she advised the supporters to ignore those critics who question their support for BBM and Sara Duterte.
Allegedly, Gonzaga was paid 120 million pesos to endorse Marcos Jr. and become their constant rally host. However, columnist Cristy Fermin pointed out the close relationship of Gonzaga’s husband Paul Soriano to Marcos Jr. to debunk the allegations.
Gonzaga’s support for BBM was censured because it is like going against ABS-CBN since Marcos Jr. ran with outgoing President Rodrigo Duterte’s daughter, Sara Duterte. It is believed that President Duterte pushed the shutdown of the Kapamilya network.
Arambulo, on the other hand, earned criticisms from fellow BBM supporters during the after campaign after ditching the supposed UniTeam event at the Rockwell Powerplant Mall in Makati on April 26.
She then defended that she had undergone surgery on that day and that the gathering was organized by a fellow Bongbong Marcos supporter.

Kakampinks eventually dominated the venue, blaming Arambulo who was labeled as ‘unaccountable’ that accordingly reflects the candidate she is supporting.

Before this, Arambulo was chastised for calling out commuters during the peak of the pandemic. Given that she lives in a relatively modest home, many people thought she was harsh when she called them hardheaded.
