First-time co-stars Kylie Padilla and Jak Roberto admitted last Monday, May 23, that they had awkward moments while taping their show Bolera.
In the virtual media conference of the series, Padilla, who is making a comeback in making teleseryes, felt that there was tension between her and Roberto.
“Nakakatawa kasi noong una nararamdaman ko na may tensyon eh,” she said.
The actor’s first impression of her was “seryosong tao,” which caused the actress to distance herself from him somehow. But as soon as they got to know each other, that feeling subsided.
She added, “Pero ‘di ba? As soon as you got to know each other, tapos nagkakasama araw-araw, naging friends kaming lahat, and hindi na kami nahihiya sa isa’t-isa. Masaya. Ang saya-saya.”
Roberto admitted that there was indeed an awkward moment between him and Padilla. As soon as production for Bolera started, he and the actress had the chance to talk and bond.
“Medyo awkward kasi first time nagka-work eh.
The actor was also happy that Padilla is the type of artist who is very open with their feelings.
“I’m happy na sobrang open niya bilang aktor. So natitimpla namin ng maayos ang eksena,” he pointed.
Both of them will continue playing billiards after the show.
Bolera is about a prodigy named Joni (Padilla) who wants to make a name for herself in a sport dominated by men—billiards.
The show includes Rayver Cruz, award-winning actress Jaclyn Jose, and seasoned actor Joey Marquez. It is directed by Dominic Zapata and will begin airing every 8:50 p.m, Mondays to Fridays, starting on May 30.
