On June 17, Viva artist Ayanna Misola compared her daring scenes in Ang Babaeng Nawawala sa Sarili to its 1989 version starring Dina Bonnievie.
During the media conference for Ang Babaeng Nawawala sa Sarili, Misola described the scenes in her upcoming film as more intense compared to the 1989 version of the movie.
“Alam naman po natin na sa Vivamax walang limit so feeling ko ‘yung mga daring scenes mas malala siya kaysa before. Pero siyempre wala namang makakapantay sa nagawa ni Ms. Dina Bonnevie.”
She shared how she prepared for her role using the 1989 version as a reference.
“Pinanood ko po ‘yung old film sa YouTube before kami mag-lock in. Pero, iba po kasi ‘yung story ngayon. Sobrang layo na background ko ngayon as Albina kaysa sa nauna na movie. So magkaiba po ‘yung approach, hindi siya katulad nung ginawa ni Ms D.”
Misola then admitted that the seasoned actress was her childhood idol.
“And sobrang naging challenging po talaga para sa akin kasi sobrang idol ko po talaga si Ms. D. as in childhood idol ko siya. Siyempre gusto kong mahigitan ‘yung mga nagawa ko before na films.”
She also recalled her reaction when Viva offered the role of Albina.
“Siyempre po nung una nagulat ako, na-excite kasi nga po idol ko nga po si Ms. D. Tapos binigyan ako ng project na siya ‘yung original actor. So parang napakalaking privilege po na maipasa sa akin ‘yung movie na ‘to.
“And ayun po, nag-prepare po talaga ako. Triny ko magpapayat. So kung ano man po ‘yung makita ninyo sa movie, payat na ako niyan.”
Vivamax’s Ang Babaeng Nawawala sa Sarili is an adaptation of the 1989 sexy-horror film of the same title.
The movie directed by Roman Perez Jr. stars Ayanna Misola, Diego Loyzaga, Adrian Alandy, Mon Confiado, and Ava Mendez.
