On May 26, rising balladeer Arthur Nery admitted feeling overwhelmed with his fame.
During the media conference for his first major concert in the New Frontier Theather, Nery said his fame came out of nowhere.
“I can’t explain it, kasi, parang– it’s just random. It just came out of nowhere. And since super busy rin namin sa concert preparations, and I’m working with an album, recording it, so hindi ko masyadong nafe-feel.”
He then shared how he considers his fans when making and releasing music.
“Sometimes, chinecheck ko like ‘yung mga comments, mostly kasi sa fanbase ko, parang ano lang sila eh, more on memes, goodvibes and soundtrip mga ganon lang.”
He also noted the dedication of his fans and how they built a community online.
“May mga fan club presidents, sila talaga ‘yung mga tumulong sa akin when I was starting na magbuild ng community, where everyone is happy. Tapos nagulat ako, may set of rules sila, pagsumasali ka doon dapat maging magalang. Okay lang kung medyo twisted ‘yung sense of humor basta magalang pa rin. So nakakatulong talaga ‘yung mga fan club presidents. The fans.”
Nery began his musical career with the album Letters Never Sent in 2018. The track included his breakout single Higa and his well-known song Binhi.
As for his concert titled ‘Arthur Nery,’ it happens on July 2, 2022, at the New Frontier Theather.
