On May 16, Viva artist Wilbert Ross recalled his sexual awakening in high school at the media conference for the Vivamax digital series High On Sex.
Ross recounted how he became exposed to the discussion of sex in high school and hinted at his sexual awakening.
“Ako nagshe-share lang ‘yung classmate ko dati na di na siya virgin, tapos tinanong ko siya kung paano nangyari tapos na-curious ako. Pagkatapos ko ma-curious may nakilala akong babae na galing sa ibang bansa tapos tinuruan niya ako ng mga bagay-bagay.”
He alluded to his high school heartbreaks while relating to his character in the upcoming digital series.
“Nakakamiss ‘yung feeling na ganoong edad na parang sobrang excited pa ng mga tao tapos nakakakita ng hot na teacher. ‘Yun. Maliban doon, ‘yung may hinahabol-habol kang crush mo pero hindi ka talaga gusto. Nakaka-miss din siya kahit masakit.”
As for his growth as an actor, Ross noted that his most challenging role was his first lead character in Ang Crush Kong Curly.
“For me, mas challenging talaga ‘yung Ang Crush kong Curly kasi ‘yun ‘yung pinaka una kong lead role.”
He then differentiated his character in High On Sex versus his previous role in Boy Bastos.
“And ayon, tapos ‘yung dito sa High On Sex, iba siya, sobrang iba siya sa Boy Bastos, parehas silang high school student pero si Gibo dito ay maliban sa daks siya dito, pero dito sa high on sex, si Gibo ay matalino.
“So honor student siya, mostly, wala kayo masyadong makikitang tanga moments natin dito than Boy Bastos, which is very lutang, tanga, parang yung sobrang slow. ‘Yung dito alam mismo ni Gibo ‘yung sinasabi niya, aware siya sa mga bagay-bagay. So ‘yun ‘yung difference ng characters.”
Wilbert Ross stars in the digital series directed by GB Sampedro, ‘High On Sex.’ His co-stars include Migs Almendras, Angela Morena, Katrina Dovey, and Denise Esteban.
The cast also includes Viva artists such as Marco Gomez, Micaella Raz, Andrea Garcia, Juami Gutierrez, Katya Santos, Sheree Bautista, and Mark Carpio.
High On Sex streams on Vivamax starting June 5, with new episodes weekly.
