On April 27, Viva Communications Inc. CEO Vincent del Rosario and Vivamax COO Ronan de Guzman highlighted the success of Vivamax thanks to their commitment to providing new content.
During the Vivamax’s Summer to The Max campaign event, del Rosario emphasized their streaming platform’s commitment to providing new content for their subscribers.
“Malaking bagay ‘yung panindigan namin ‘yung commitment noong nagsimula kami na maglabas ng fresh content every week. I think baka in a way failure ‘yun ng mga platform na hindi gaanong nagwork dito. Hindi nila na-fulfill ‘yung commitment na bagong content.”
He also attributed their success to the artists and directors who constantly showed support to Vivamax.
“Maganda kasi sa Viva, ‘yung combination ng mga kaibigan nating director at ‘yung mga artista na kasama namin, nandiyan lagi sila to support us. So madali mag mount ng projects.”
Del Rosario then stressed his dad, Boss Vic’s (Vicente del Rosario Jr.) advocacy of promoting local content.
“For 50 years na no na si Boss Vic nasa industry sa kaniyang paniniwala, we have to go local with our music and our films. So ‘yung tiwala niya sa industry hindi nawala kahit for a time, for two years nawala ‘yung mga sinehan. Tuloy-tuloy lang kami.”
He then added that Vivamax’s affordable rates as a factor in their recent success.
“I think for me ‘yun, ‘yung content, ‘yung tamang pricing, affordable sa lahat.”
De Guzman voiced that their success also came from the loyal fans of their artists.
“‘Yung mga fans talaga pong loyal sa ating mga artista, and of course, as we develop, as Viva develops new talents it also attracts a different kind of market, mas matapang, mas bata, pero doon kami sa content talaga nakasalalay ‘yung success ng kahit anong platform.”
Vivamax is currently the number one Pinoy Streaming Platform, with its subscribers hitting around 2.5 million during the first quarter of 2022.
