On April 21, Kapamilya artist Ria Atayde said she considered her 30th birthday a milestone.
In an interview with Ria, she highlighted her 30th birthday shoot, which she uploaded through her Instagram account.
“Well, for starters, when else am I going to do it if not now, di ba? Parang 30 is a milestone birthday. I’m surprised after all that I’ve been through as a person–I’m alive at 30. Really after everything I’ve done.”
She then explained that the theme of her birthday photoshoot aimed to show people a braver Ria.
“Parang feel ko kasi people are so used to see me so wholesome–so covered up, and parang for a change, there’s that side of me that needs to be shown. Even if it’s not an always thing, I feel like I’ll show you this, I’m capable of this, we’re good. Okay this is 30–I’m braver to face challenges like that.”

“Actually, I shared it for myself, kasi eh. Not so much–parang social media has been parang itaga mo sa bato type of thing, pag ipost mo, that’s final, that’s it. And I think that’s what it was for me–like this is me marking that I’m 30.Â
“And I think that’s what it was for me, like this is me marking that I’m 30. And I don’t know. It felt like a nice thing to share with everybody because I wouldn’t be really happy at 30 if not for the people that support me and for the people that around me.”Â
