CEO of KROMA Entertainment, Inc., Ian Monsod revealed on Wednesday, May 18, that Pinoy Interactive Entertainment (PIE) Channel, had a big budget to ensure its quality content.
During the channel’s media launch, Monsod, without revealing the estimated budget, said, “Well we can’t get too specific. But I can just say that the stakeholders of PIE are putting a good baseline of resources to ensure its success.”
The funding, according to him, focuses on the improvement of the real-time interactive channel.
“We will progressively elaborate and improve the product as we continue to improve the content experience based on the clamor and feedback of the audience.”
PIE Channel is the project of KROMA with 917Ventures Retirement Fund and ABS-CBN. It will officially launch on May 23 and will become available on digital televisions and other digital platforms.
On its airing date, it will show PIESILOG, a collection of information, inspiring stories, and positive energy in the morning followed by BARANGAY PIE at noon, and PIEGALINGAN in the afternoon. It will also have its interactive game show PIENALO and the classic Pera o Bayong (PoB).
Aspiring content creators will also have the chance to showcase their talents through Palong Follow. There is also a talk show called PIE Night Long and the first interactive series Uzi.
To celebrate the launch, PIE is giving away P10 million in cash prizes to viewers for three months, starting from its launch date.
The channel will also launch its official song and station ID on May 22, featuring artists KD Estrada, Alexa Ilacad, P-POP Girl Group BINI, Renee Dominique, and John Roa.
It will be accessible from 5 a.m. to 2 a.m across Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Zamboanga, Naga, Baguio, and nearby provinces through partner station BEAM.
