Former beauty queen (Binibining Pilipinas 1982) and actress Maria Isabel Lopez clapped back at someone who claimed that she was a supporter of the late President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.
Lopez is a certified Kakampink or a supporter of the Leni-Kiko tandem.
On twitter, one netizen posted a video clip of Lopez’s interview while in the San Francisco People Power for Hope and Democracy in the Philippines event. The event was held on April 23 and dedicated to the Leni-Kiko tandem.
One netizen claimed that Lopez was a supporter of the late President Marcos. His son, Bongbong Marcos, is currently one of the presidential candidates.

Lopez then denied the claim of the netizen. She even noted that she was a part of the EDSA Revolution in 1986.
“Never! I was in Edsa 1986. FYI my sexy films shown at ECP were used as a political tool to distract the restless citizens,” she said.

The EDSA Revolution in 1986, also known as the People Power Revolution, marked the people’s movement to end the dictatorship of late president Marcos and give back freedom and democracy to the people.
Maria Isabel Lopez previously stressed the importance of having the incumbent Vice President Leni Robredo.
She said that she did not want another Marcos to lead the country.
