Former Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity Season 10 celebrity housemate Daisy “Madam Inutz” Lopez, on Wednesday, May 4, shared how welcoming the cast and production team of the sitcom My Papa Pi was.
Lopez joined the cast after exiting Kuya’s house.
Her life story will be featured in the upcoming two episodes of ABS-CBN’s longest-running drama anthology series Maalaala Mo Kaya? (MMK).
In the virtual media conference of the show, Lopez said, “Grabe! Ano, unexpected yung pag-welcome nila sa akin. Talaga namang hindi nila ako tinuring na bago. Bagkus, talagang inakap nila ako.”
My Papa Pi, which esteemed filmmaker Cathy Garcia-Molina directs, brought fear into her heart. However, upon arriving at the set, her anxiety was erased.
“Kasi no’ng una ano siyempre, marinig mo palang Direk Cathy Molino, jusko nanginginig na ako ‘diba? Siyempre sikat na direktor, at the same time, parang takot na takot sa kanya kapag sumigaw na. Pero iba. Iba ang naramdaman ko. Winelcome nila ako ng buong puso.”
She also had the experience to be assured by Kapamilya heartthrob Piolo Pascual.
“Si Papa P nga inakap pa ako. Sabi niya sa’kin, ‘Huwag kang mailang. Tropa tayo dito.’ Kumbaga talagang sobrang embrace nila sa akin at hindi ko inaasahan,” the comedian revealed.
Playing as “Madam Bebe,” Lopez also said that the cast members and the production team all helped with her first acting gig.
“Sina Kuya Joross, totally lahat naman ng cast, hindi ako nahirapan. Kasi yung role ko sa My Papa Pi, akung-ako lang eh. Kumbaga siga-sigang nanay, maritess, yung tsismosa. So hindi rin ako nahirapan.”
Direk Cathy encouraged the comedian to unleash her potential too.
“Tapos siyempre nagpapasalamat din ako kay Direk Cathy. Kasi siya yung, ‘Madam! Kaya mo ‘yan! ‘Di ba walanghiya ka?!’ Gaganoon siya sa akin. Talagang pinu-push niya ako. Si Direk Cathy sobrang bait.”
