On Friday, May 20, reel and real celebrity couple Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte revealed that they received offers to switch to another network, but those were just ‘offers.’
In 2021, news broke out that they will be leaving ABS-CBN and transferring to GMA Network following the former’s shutdown. The latter Network was rumored to have plans for Andalio and Alonte to star in a project that didn’t push through.
The actor admitted that there was indeed an offer. It never materialized as he and his girlfriend were certified Kapamilyas.
“Yes, hindi naman namin itatanggi. Nagka-offer naman sila pero hanggang offer lang.
“Siyempre, at the end of the day, andito kami sa ABS, may bagong show, bingyan kami ng oportunidad na makagawa ng ganito kalaking teleserye, kaya happy,” said Alonte during the press conference for their upcoming teleserye Love in 40 Days.
Andalio added that they were not given a reason to transfer.
“Pero siyempre, dahil sa ABS kami nanggaling, may binibigay naman sa amin, why not ‘di ba? Bakit hindi? Bakit kailangang lumipat? Eh binibigyan naman kami ng worth.”
Meanwhile, the series marks their first lead in a series.
Sharing their experience, the actress revealed that she had jitters during their taping.
“Masaya. Pero noong binigay sa amin ito, nagte-taping kami, locked in, walang eksena na hindi nanginginig ang kamay ko.”
Alonte even said, “Walang eksenang madali.”
Their directors were none other than Manny Palo and Jojo Saguin, which motivated the couple to give their best.
“Kasi Direk Manny, alam naman natin na napakahusay na direktor, tsaka si Direk Jojo. Kaya lahat ng hinihingi nila, binibigay namin. Kaya naging madali, naging smooth na nabuo ang Love in 40 Days,” stated the actress.
“Kasi lahat ng eksena talaga hindi naging madali eh. Basta kami binigay lang namin ang best namin na matutuwa si direk,” pointed out Alonte.
Love in 40 Days will premiere on May 30 n Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and TV5, with two-day advanced episodes on iWantTFC.
