On May 16, Viva artist Katrina Dovey revealed she became in touch with her sexuality when she was younger.
During the digital media conference for High On Sex, Dovey said that getting in touch with her sexual side came ‘very natural’ to the Viva artist.
“I’ve always been a very sexually intouch person since bata ako. I don’t know. It came very natural to me.”
She attributed her exposure to the topic of sex to her friends in high school.
“Actually, it’s more of a friends thing, like my friends exposed me to it more than my parents did. Never naman tinago ng parents ko, but I don’t think we never talked about it directly until I was older.”
She then described her taping for the Vivamax digital series as a fun experience.
“I got to experience senior high again and now with my friends who are in the industry as well, so it was really a fun experience, talaga. And we got to spend two weeks together, and I think that really formed a bond between the whole cast.”
As for her character, Dovey said she related to the introverted nature of her role in real life.
“I think I can definitely relate because she’s very introverted and medyo malaki ‘yung pinagdadaanan niya. Hindi medyo, malaki talaga ‘yung pinagdadaanan niya. And I’ve been there, and I think I can relate to her character and that says a lot.”
As for her project, Dovey stars in the upcoming sexy digital series set in high school alongside Wilbert Ross, Angela Morena, and Denise Esteban.
Joining the main cast are Marco Gomez, Micaella Raz, Andrea Garcia, Juami Gutierrez, Katya Santos, Sheree Bautista, and Mark Carpio.
Under the direction of GB Sampedro, High On Sex streams on Vivamax starting June 5, with new episodes weekly.
