Jaclyn Jose defended the presidential aspirant and former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and vice-presidential aspirant and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio tandem’s endorsement by Iglesia ni Cristo (INC).
On May 4, via an Instagram post, Jose voiced out her sentiments about the bashing her religion received after endorsing Marcos and Duterte.
“I just want (to) defend our vote, watching a channel na parang di na maganda sinasabi sa INC. Na para bang nasa 10 commandments na at foul na talaga. Pasensiya na po… nasasaktan lang… ganun po talaga kami… sobra na po… sana wala namang sakitan ng religion,” she said.
Jose stated that the ‘respect’ they possess for their religion comes from being united.
“Wala ako sa posisyong magsalita, may mga leader po kami na makakapagpaliwanag… ganun po talaga kami mga miyembro nagkakaisa… wala na po kayo magagawa. Ang respeto namin ay nasa aming pagkakaisa bilang Iglesia… sorry po… may malalim po kami pag-uunawa ukol sa mga bagay na ito… salamat po,” Jose continued.

On March 24, Jose said that God, not Nostradamus, can dictate the future Philippine president.
“Let us trust in God for He knows what is best… not Nostradamus or anyone can dictate our future President. I am an Iglesia ni Kristo. I can fight la pa announcement… please stop judging, antay lang ako announcement… pero kung sino dadalin namin maluwag sa puso ko… antayin ko na lang,” Jose wrote.
