On May 10, Gibbs reacted to supporters of the presumptive president Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr for mocking the “kakampinks.”
“Sabi n’yo, ”Wag nang bitter.’ Tanggapin nalang na talo na. Move on na. Nung matalo si BBM as VP, nag-move on ba? Tinanggap ba niyo? Hindi. Nagprotesta at nagpa-recount ng 3x.
“Talo pa rin. So hayaan niyo kaming maging bitter. Kung nabaliktad ang resulta, pihado bitter din kayo. Let us grieve,” he wrote.

Despite losing thousands of followers, he did not regret that he voted for Robredo.
“It’s sad but I don’t regret my posts. They are written in good taste and I will never compromise my sentiments over approval, especially for our country,” stated the actor in an interview with PEP.
Gibbs will also continue being vocal regarding matters involving the country.
The late dictator’s son is on his way to a landslide victory against Robredo. Based on the partial results, Marcos already has 30,855,617 votes while his biggest rival, the outgoing Vice President, is only at 14,724,725.
His running-mate, Sara Duterte-Carpio also enjoys a huge lead against Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, with 31,280,191 over 9,169,375 votes.
