On Friday, May 13, Viva’s Box Office Queen Angeli Khang admitted that she still hides her sexy films from her mother.
“She really wants to pero ako nagsasabi sa kanya na, ‘Ma wag muna next time na kapag alam ko na magiging proud ako na ipanuod mo din sa mga friends mo,'” said Khang during her movie Pusoy press conference.
According to the sexy actress, her mother, a pastor, was not in favor of her decision to do daring roles. But it all changed, and her mom now supports her endeavors.
“At first, no’ng nalaman nya na nagse-sexy ako, prinay over niya ako. Inadvisan niya ako na, ‘Your body is the temple of the Lord.’
“No’ng nalaman na niya na I’m happy sa kung ano [ang] ginagawa ko, ang sabi n’ya sa’kin, ‘Anak, as long as wala kang tinatapakang tao, and as long gusto mo iyan, susuportahan kita.'”
Khang’s parents were separated. Her father, a Korean general, used to beat her when she was young.
Her mother urged the sexy actress to give her dad a second chance. It turns out, however, that some things “never change.” This resulted in her parents not reconciling.
“Noong bata ako, gan’yan na talaga yung dad ko. So when he came back, parang humilaway kami sa US. Sabi ng mom ko na i-accept ko na yung dad ko [at] baka nagbago na siya.
“And maganda naman talaga yung future ko with him. But after knowing na gano’n pa rin siya, sobrang naging hate niya si daddy, ‘di na niya kinausap.
“Every time nagkikita sila, talagang di niya kinakausap si daddy. Galit lang talaga, buong time naka (make face na galit), nakakunot lang kilay.”
She added, “Super na-appreciate ko mom ko dahil sobrang love na love niya ko unconditionally.”
In the meantime, Khang is about to release her fifth movie Pusoy. It will be digitally available starting May 27.
Catch her movie only on Vivamax.
