Comedienne Pokwang on Friday, April 29, insisted that her departure with ABS-CBN was made seamlessly.
She stressed that her former Kapamilya bosses understood when she meant that she had to switch networks.
Naintindihan po nila na kailangan kong kumayod,” said the comedienne during an interview.
Pokwang further pointed out that she needs to provide for her family.
“Kasi hindi naman ako ipinanganak na mayaman. So kailangan ko kumayod.
Prior to signing a contract with GMA Network, she was with TV5 following the shutdown of ABS-CBN in 2020. She hosted two shows as a Kapatid: Chika Besh! and Fill in the Blank.
In 2021, Pokwang signed with GMA Network’s Sparkle Artist Center.
During the pandemic kasi, sa TV5 ako unang nagtrabaho.
Thank you, thank you so much,” thanked the comedienne.
Regarding if she thinks she will be unable to return to ABS-CBN, Pokwang exclaimed, “No! No!”
There is also a possibility that she could become a Kapamilya once again.
The comedienne also maintains communication with her former Magandang Buhay co-hosts. She and Jolina Magdangal as well as Melai Cantiveros have appeared in Vice President and presidential bet Leni Robredo’s sorties.
After seeing her, Kim Chiu, a good friend of hers, even gave Pokwang a big hug.
“Si Kim Chiu naiyak ako noong nakita ko, my God. Yung yakap, napaka-genuine,” shared the comedienne.
Pokwang also took the opportunity to share that not every Kakampink celebrity was from ABS-CBN.
Of course, I’m proud of them.”
Currently, she is part of the Kapuso series Mano Po Legacy: Her Big Boss. Pokwang will also play a role in an episode of Regal Studio Presents.
The comedienne is also the latest endorser of Klio, a leading local manufacturer in the plastic food storage industry, providing quality and safe food keeper products.
