Herlene “Hipon Girl” Budol made the rounds online after netizens criticized her opinion regarding a woman’s beauty in relation to her sex life.
In Hipon Girl’s Facebook post on May 26, she explained that a woman’s beauty is nothing if she has already made love to numerous men.
“Ang mga babae, maganda man o hindi nirerespeto yan!
“Ako nga pala si Binibini #8 – Nicole Budol a.k.a. Herlene Hipon at naniniwala sa kasabihan “Aanhin mo pa ang babaeng sexy at maganda kung halos lahat ng lalake nag planking na sa kanya” And i….Hipon!!”
Netizens then called out Hipon Girl on Twitter, saying she should change her mindset and stop slut shaming.

On May 27, Hipon Girl then acknowledged her mistake and apologized publicly.
“My apologies po. Palabiro lang po ako sa mga kasabihan ko po. Hayaan niyo po hindi na po mauulit. Salamat po sa mga reminders. love u all po”
As one of the candidates for Binibining Pilipinas 2022, people said that Herlene Budol should be wary of her words and how she presents herself to the public.
Herlene Budol officially registered for Binibining Pilipinas on April 8. She previously mentioned that she planned to speak Filipino during the Q&A portion of the pageant.
