Kapuso programs are virtually unopposed as the four entered the Top 5 chart based on the latest AGB Nielsen figures.
Kapuso shows are well ahead of their Kapamilya and Kapatid counterparts. That’s according to the ratings reported by AGB Nielsen’s National Urban Television Measurement (NUTAM) data for Thursday, May 19, and Friday, May 20.
24 Oras remains the most-watched local program on local television as it keeps its staggering lead over its nearest competitor. The Kapuso primetime newscast towers the competition, with a very high people rating of 17% on May 19, and 18% on May 20. Its closest rival, TV Patrol, meanwhile rated 2.7% and 3.4%.
Sanya Lopez and Gabby Concepcion’s First Lady keeps its post as the most-watched television drama, as it continues to draw a 4-5% lead over its closest rival show. The heartwarming romcom rated 14.5% and 15.7% on Thursday and Friday, respectively. FPJ’;s Ang Probinsyano, on the other hand, managed 10.1% and 9.7%, although it’s worth noting that the show keeps its commanding presence online with record-breaking concurrent live views.
Pre-primetime game show Family Feud, maintains its winning streak with surprising ratings, that even its predecessor, Wowowin was unable to hit during its last few months on the air. Presented by its game master, Dingdong Dantes, the local version of the massively successful hit international game show, rated 10.4% and 10.7% on Thursday and Friday, respectively. Its rival show on TV5, Frontline Pilipinas, managed to pull off 1.4% and 1.7% respectively on the same days.
Down to its last week, the mini-series False Positive is likewise impressive with 9.8% and 10.5% of people rating on May 19 and May 20, respectively. Its Friday episode notably relegated FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano to the fifth spot. The charming Kapuso romcom is notably Xian Lim’s first Kapuso series.
GMA Network’s co-produced show with Regal Entertainment, Mano Po Legacy: Her Big Boss, is the least impressive among the programs on Kapuso prime time, but it is worth noting it won its Thursday episode, albeit a slim margin, over The Broken Marriage Vow. The series pulled a 5.9% people rating, against the latter’s 5.7%. On Friday, May 20, Bubble Gang took over its time slot, and won with a 6% people rating, against The Broken Marriage Vow’s 5.6%.
Latenight newscast, Saksi, meanwhile, is an undisputed rating leader, as it posted 2.5% and 1.6% people rating on Thursday and Friday, respectively.
