The GMA Network will ink another partnership deal with ABS-CBN, which will allow a new batch of Star Cinema movies to air on the Kapuso Network.
Kapuso’s historic partnership deal with ABS-CBN was in April 2022 when it also allowed Star Cinema movies to air on its channel.
On May 18, during GMA Network’s Annual Stockholders’ Meeting, GMA Network chairman and chief executive officer Felipe L. Gozon confirmed that there are talks of another collaboration with ABS-CBN.
“We are currently in talks with ABS-CBN for another fresh batch of movies for acquisition. We are waiting for the available movie list from them for our team’s review and consideration. After we have broken the ice, the door is now open for other partnerships with ABS-CBN that will be mutually beneficial to both of us,” he said.
Some ABS-CBN films already being aired on the Kapuso network included: It Takes A Man And A Woman, Alone/Together, and No Other Woman.
The new collaboration with ABS-CBN will allow Kapamilya films like Hello Love Goodbye, The Hows of Us, How to Be Yours, Must Be… Love, James & Pat & Dave, and many more to air on the Kapuso Network.
