The Kapuso hit game show extended its winning streak and further climbed on the TV rating leaderboard.

Amid the clash of families in his hit game show, Family Feud–Dingdong Dantes is the happiest and the biggest winner. The show did not only soar to its highest TV rating to date. It was also able to enter the top 3 on Wednesday, May 18.
Since its return to GMA Network in March, the pre-primetime game show accomplished such a feat for the first time.
According to AGB Nielsen National Urban TV Measurement (NUTAM) people data, Family Feud was able to nudge ABS-CBN’s FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano off the top 3 by rating 10.5%, its highest so far. The Kapuso show also notably reigned virtually unopposed in its time slot, as its rivals Frontline Pilipinas (TV5) and PBB Kumunity Season 10 (ABS-CBN) failed to enter the Top 20.

Before its record-breaking Wednesday episode, Family Feud already made a record with its Monday (May 16) and Tuesday (May 17) episodes, as both recorded a 9.9% rating.
With the show’s entry into the Top 3, all three most-watched shows in the country are from GMA Network.
It will be interesting to note whether or not the show will keep its momentum and retain its place in the Top 3, the other two being the flagship Kapuso newscast, 24 Oras, and the primetime drama, First Lady.
The current version of Family Feud is already the fourth incarnation of the massively successful global game show on local television. TV5 (formerly ABC 5), first adapted it to Philippine television in 2001, with Ogie Alcasid as its game master. In 2008, GMA Network brought the local production and its airing rights. Dingdong Dantes was the first host of the first Kapuso incarnation before Richard Gomez and Edu Manzano had their turns hosting the show.
In 2016, ABS-CBN revived the local franchise of the show and had Luis Manzano as its new host.
GMA Network again brought the local rights of Family Feud this year. It brought back its original Kapuso host, Dingdong Dantes, as its game master.
