The new Kapuso series False Positive competes closely with FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano for the third spot in the rating chart.
Since it premiered on GMA Network’s Telebabad lineup and replaced Widows’ Web on May 2, False Positive settled in the #3 and #4 spots on the leaderboard.
This neck-to-neck competition continued as it entered its second airing week.
On May 10, False Positive ranked fourth with a 10.9% rating, only 0.3% behind the Kapamilya program FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
The next day, False Positive surpassed FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano with a 9.8% rating, establishing a 0.2% lead.
False Positive maintained its position until May 12–when it earned a 10.8% rating, while FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano made 9.9% only.
FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano maintains a big lead against competitors in terms of online views and presence despite the close competition on free TV.
Glaiza de Castro and Xian Lim stars in False Positive. Yannie (Glaiza) and Edward (Xian) are the ideal pair. They agreed to construct a life and a family that they would always put first while they were young, in love, and crazy for one other.
Yannie found out she was pregnant not long after they married, and the couple was ecstatic; however, the delight got replaced by squabbling, conflicts, and even envy.
Edward got preoccupied with his work and frequently left Yannie alone.
Yannie cursed into the wind after a particularly nasty fight, hoping Edward would understand what she was going through. A diwata overheard this and fulfilled her desire, perhaps a little too literally.
Even though ABS-CBN has a limited reach, considering the network’s exit from free TV, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano continues to be top-rated and is capable of going head-to-head against GMA Network’s flagship programs.
