Despite the admonishment of Iwa Moto, Jodi Sta. Maria showed her full swing support for the campaign of Vice President and presidential aspirant Leni Robredo and vice presidential candidate Sen. Kiko Pangilinan.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, March 5, Sta. Maria shared photos taken from the house-to-house campaign of Robredo and Pangilinan.
The actress said she is proud to be a supporter of the said tandem.
“Tao sa Tao. Puso sa Puso. Nakaka-proud mapabilang sa isa mga taong tumayo at tumindig para sa bayan,” Sta. Maria wrote.
“Buo ang paniniwala ko sa GOBYERNONG TAPAT, ANGAT BUHAY LAHAT,” she added with the tags @cheldiokno @bise_leni and @kiko.pangilinan.

She publicly announced her support for the Leni-Kiko tandem on Saturday, April 23, through a tweet.
In an Instagram story posted on Monday, April 25, former Kapuso star Iwa Moto lightly admonished Sta Maria following her endorsement of the Leni-Kiko tandem. She said she shouldn’t have publicized her choice since their father-in-law is also a candidate.
Moto said, “Was just hoping na [hindi] na lang sya nag announce. hihi. Syempre father-in-law namin yung kalaban ng candidate. lol bwahahahaa.”
Sen. Ping Lacson, another presidential aspirant, is Sta. Marias father-in-law with her marriage to Panfilo “Pampy” Lacson Jr. Although separated, Sta. Maria and Pampy’s marriage has yet to be annulled, following the Court of Appeals’ decision dismissing the lower court’s decision.
Moto, meanwhile, has been the current partner of Pampy since 2013.
